The name, “GP DEVA,” is an abbreviation of the Sanskrit transliteration Gandha Puspa Deva, which captures the essence of its Chinese name, 香華天 (Xiang Hua Tian), meaning “Fragrant Blossoms in Heaven.”

In the scripture, celestial beings scattered fragrant flower petals in mid-air as they danced gracefully, offering not only unparalleled beauty but also symbols of auspiciousness and joy.
