The Hsin Lu Social Welfare Foundation, established 33 years ago, is the first organization in Taiwan founded by parents of individuals with disabilities.
The Hsin Lu Foundaton serves individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other multiple disabilities accompanied by intellectual disabilities. Its mission is to "achieve the maximum potential of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities." Its services are extensive, ranging from early intervention for children aged 0-6 to vocational rehabilitation, day care, overnight accommodation, community support services, and care for the elderly for adults aged 18 and above. These are all programs supported by the Hsin Lu Foundation, which serves over 6,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families annually, making significant contributions to society.
Since 2008, Xiang Hua Tian has launched its "Warmth in Winter" campaign every year, collaborating with various charitable organizations to contribute to vulnerable populations. This year, as the campaign enters its twelfth year, Xiang Hua Tian is adding beautiful colors to the Sin-Lu Social Welfare Foundation's handmade egg roll gift boxes by offering artists' works royalty-free.
The "Flower Dance World Fragrant Egg Roll Gift Box" by Xianghua Tian x Xinlu Foundation is handmade by young people with intellectual disabilities.
This egg roll gift box, named "Flower Dance in Heaven and Earth," features packaging inspired by the "Flower Dance Between Heaven and Earth" series, a collaborative creation by Professor Li Shandan, an artist represented by S.H. Art Gallery, and five other artists named Ma Xin and Ling Yue. The paintings in "Flower Dance Between Heaven and Earth" are grand yet delicate, with vibrant and saturated colors, making them particularly suitable for gift-giving during the year-end festive season.
Hsiang Hua Tian stated: "This egg roll gift box, from the selection of safe ingredients to the rigorous production methods and the training of sheltered workshop employees, shows the dedication of Hsin Lu Foundation in helping the vulnerable all along. In collaboration with Hsiang Hua Tian at the end of the year, we hope to provide comfort and healing through the visual appeal of art, and also call on the public to support Hsin Lu's charity egg roll gift box."
The "Flower Dance in Heaven" Egg Roll Gift Box contains 6 flavors and a total of 14 long egg rolls. The ingredients for each flavor are carefully selected. For example, the coffee flavor uses Nespresso coffee, the banana flavor uses Taiwan Yushan No. 5 banana, and the chocolate flavor is made with premium chocolate from Callebaut, a century-old Belgian brand. The gift box is priced at NT$480 and will be available for sale at the Xiang Hua Tian stores from now until January 31st of next year (2021).
