“The Joy of Tea” — Four Seasons Wellness Tea Gathering

On Saturday, August 30, GP DEVA hosted the “The Joy of Tea” gathering at GP DEVA Frontier Art Taichung Boutique, inviting VIP guests and tea enthusiasts to experience the art of living through tea. Centered on the theme of seasonal tea selection for late summer and early autumn, the event showcased the brand’s philosophy of Four-Season Wellness Tea Rituals through thoughtful tea table arrangements, expert sharing sessions, and curated tea selections—offering guests a serene afternoon to slow down and restore inner balance.

Dr. Hsu Tsui-Ling, Director of Hsieh Tien Chinese Medicine Clinic, was invited as a special guest speaker. With the topic “Spring Growth, Summer Flourish, Autumn Harvest, Winter Storage”, she explored how seasonal climates correspond to human wellness, recommending suitable teas for each time of year. For instance, black and dark teas are ideal for autumn and winter, green oolong suits all seasons—especially spring and autumn—while within the white tea category, newly harvested white tea is best enjoyed in summer, and aged white tea is ideal for autumn and winter.

This “Joy of Tea” session featured two teas that echoed the transition into autumn: Fuding White Tea, known for its mellow sweetness that deepens with age, and Red Oolong (Bitten by Cicadas), celebrated for its warm, honeyed aroma. Three tea masters, led by Mr. Huang Kuang-Chung, Manager of the Taichung Boutique, each presented their unique brewing techniques—allowing the same tea to unfold in different layers of fragrance and flavor in every cup.

As the event’s chief tea master, Mr. Huang Kuang-Chung personally brewed for the guests.

One of the VIP attendees, Mr. Wang, described his tasting impressions this way: “The first brew was stable and silky, the second refined yet powerful in aftertaste, and the third refreshing like a gentle cool breeze.” Paired with Taichung’s signature Sun Cake and delicate tea confections, the experience achieved perfect harmony—adding a touch of warmth and elegance to the entire gathering.
