The scorching summer is drawing to a close! The 2020 Taipei Art Revolution will be holding its "2020 Taipei Art Revolution - Extra Chapter" from Saturday, August 15th to Sunday, August 30th at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. Featuring 191 artists from 35 countries and nearly 800 artworks, the exhibition offers a global spectacle without the need for international travel. Those feeling cooped up and unable to go abroad can experience the world's beauty without boarding a plane!

Due to the pandemic, many art exhibitions had to be canceled or postponed. The official 2020 dates for the Taipei Art Fair were also postponed to 2021. However, works by artists from various countries, selected for the "2020 International Artist Grand Prize," had already been sent. Therefore, the organizers are holding a special "2020 Taipei Art Fair: Extra Edition." In addition to the finalists of the "International Artist Grand Prize," emerging artists from both China and abroad have also been invited to exhibit. Among them are many artists making their debut and exhibiting for the first time, showcasing styles ranging from realism, abstract, fantasy, deconstruction, to surrealism. Professor Shan-Dan Lee, Art Director of Skyart Gallery X-power Gallery of the Skyart Group (and also Art Director of the Taipei Art Expo), along with artists Ma Xin Ling Yue, Yue Sha Zhen Xin, Wang Xin Wei, Chen Yi Xin, Lai Ya Qi, Sa Zhen Ming, and Yu Jie Er will also participate in the "2020 Taipei Art Expo - Special Edition."
The public exhibition period for the "2020 Taipei Art Fair - Special Edition" is from Thursday, August 27th to Sunday, August 30th. What isInternational Artist Award Competition?
The "2020 International Artist Grand Prize," the largest art competition in Asia, was organized by the Association of International Contemporary Artists, Taiwan, and co-organized by the Taipei Art and Design Fair. This year's competition spanned five continents, with 4,337 artworks submitted by artists from 82 countries. Ultimately, 168 artists and 334 works were selected.
The list of winners for this year's Grand Prize and Gallery Award will be announced on the official website of the "Art Revolution Taipei" on August 31, 2020. All winning artists will receive a free sponsored exhibition space at next year's "Art Revolution Taipei 2021" (this year's sponsor is X-power Gallery, under the Synthesizer Group), becoming a focal point in the art world, attracting numerous heavyweight collectors from Asia and Taiwan.
