"Hawaiian Style" Reimagined: We invite you to dance with Buddha.

Xiang Hua Tian GP DEVA's jewelry has always excelled at combining cosmic totems with Eastern aesthetics, integrating them into jewelry design to create many classic series, including the "Heaven and Earth, Mountains and Rivers" series. This year, for the Mother's Day shopping season, Xiang Hua Tian has launched a復刻版 (reissue) of "Hawaiian Charm - Dancing with Buddha" from the "Heaven and Earth, Mountains and Rivers" series, reinterpreting it with a different main stone than before.

Twenty-two years of classic totem aesthetics

The "Heaven and Earth Landscape" series first appeared in 2004, originally conceived and painted by master artist Professor Shan-Dan Lee. The series transforms famous landscapes from around the world into totem lines, establishing a unique style for custom jewelry in Taiwan.

After twenty-two years, the classic design from that era has become a collector's item. Today, "Hawaiian Vibes - Dancing with Buddha" returns with a new look, continuing the beauty of classic motifs.

Hawaiian Style - The Story of Taiwanese Lapis Lazuli

The original design from 2004 featured coral and agate as the main stones. This year's reissue, however, uses "Taiwan Blue Gem."

Taiwanese blue sapphire is not the sapphire (Sapphire) from the corundum family, but a rare variety of "blue chalcedony" (Chalcedony) from the quartz family. Its blue color comes from chrysocolla inclusions within the chalcedony, and it is a gemstone produced abundantly in the volcanic rock areas of the Coastal Mountain Range from Hualien to Taitung in Taiwan.

The high-quality Taiwanese Lapis Lazuli boasts a rich and uniform color. When illuminated, it resembles a solidified clear sky, with hues of sky blue and lake blue, creating a natural resonance with the natural imagery pursued by "Heaven and Earth Landscapes."

This design suspends Taiwan sapphire in a pearl chain beneath the totem, creating a light, swaying motion with the wearer's movements, imbuing the jewelry with a vibrant sense of life.

Dancing with the Buddha – A Dialogue Between Hula Culture and Natural Forces

"Buddha" here represents "Buddha-nature," but its actual meaning is not limited to a specific religion. Instead, it's a universal spirit interpreted by Xiang Hua Tian as the inherent essence of life that exists in all things, is radiant, perfect, and oriented towards goodness.

The dangling beaded chain design naturally evokes the swaying tassels of a Hawaiian hula dancer's skirt. Hula, meaning "dance" in Hawaiian, is where dancers use delicate hand and hip movements to translate the ebb and flow of ocean waves and the rustling of trees into body language. The oldest form, Hula Kahiko, is a sacred ritual paying homage to the volcano goddess Pele, representing the deepest dialogue between humans and the earth.
